TRACE

“My paintings are currently abstracts with occasional references of organic shapes and animals. I am interested in addressing the American ideals of equality, dignity, and justice for all inhabitants, specifically animals. Dogs have proven themselves to be loyal companions, man’s best friend. I am interested in creating works of art depicting the animal-human relationship, and social responsibility.” ~ Trace Johansson

SAVVY CONTEMPORARY ARTIST

“Trace Johansson has been fast becoming highly collectible by hip and sophisticated art collectors. Her paintings have been collected and commissioned by international corporations, and individual private collectors worldwide. Her work had been featured in magazines such as California Homes Magazine and ASID Magazine; she has been commissioned for the LA Zoo, as well as by many High-End Interior Designers creating one-of-a-kind original works of art for their upscale corporate spaces and private luxury homes.

Trace has been an artist since a child, and continues painting and drawing today, graduating from college with a B.F.A. from the well respected and world-renown Art Center College of Design, Pasadena, in Los Angeles, CA. Her work has a strong use of color and design elements, that are painted by her layering of textures and techniques she has developed as a professional artist for over the past 10 years. She is compared to the likes of Jackson Pollack with her “Drips” paintings which have a romantic and delicate feeling to them. Her “Lines” have evolved into a more pop-culture, bold feel. Both series translate into the background of her various “Dogs” series. Her work is drawing more attention from collectors that appreciate sophisticated design and her talent; her style is fashionable to people across the world. She has created and brought back sophistication and class, as well as hip, cool and savvy back into the art world all under the same brush stroke and breath.” ~ Ask Alondra
